Not that it's a big deal really, but we've said goodbye to the crib.
Maywen rarely slept in it and when she did, she didn't sleep well.
We moved her to the twin bed that we left in her room about a year ago.
Though, she had recently been asking to play in it and one day she spent over an hour just playing with dolls in there. I was not sure how she was going to take it. This big toy missing from her room.
But, it didn't faze her at all, she didn't seem to look for it. We did put a book shelf in that spot. It's solid and tall, she can easily see and access her books, which she loves.
So I'm not sure why I felt a little sad when Jim took it apart and talked about selling it, I just did.
Maybe it's because with only the changing table in her room, it's not the baby's room, it's more of a little girls room.
Maybe I know that this is how the rest of my life will be. She'll be pushing to grow up and I'll be worried she's not ready.
So we say goodbye to the crib and hello to a book shelf and the New Year.
May you all say goodbye to the year that was and hello to the year that will be.
